Our Story
United Engineering Resources, Inc. (UER) provides top-tier engineering and inspection services in California, overseeing two respected companies: MatriScope Engineering Laboratories and Signet Testing Laboratories.
MatriScope, founded in 1995 and incorporated in 2003, specializes in geotechnical and environmental engineering, materials testing, and special inspection services. As a wholly owned subsidiary of UER, MatriScope operates fully accredited materials testing laboratories and is recognized for its proactive project management, innovative practices, and commitment to traditional values built over nearly three decades of service.
Signet, established in 1966 and based in Hayward, CA, brings decades of experience in engineering, construction inspection, and materials testing. Its inspection personnel are proud members of Operating Engineers Union Local No. 3, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to skilled labor and technical integrity.
Together under the UER banner, MatriScope and Signet deliver a comprehensive suite of engineering and inspection solutions, backed by deep regional expertise and a shared dedication to technical excellence, reliability, and outstanding client service.
