About the Role
This position requires an entry level to experienced individual to work in a commercial testing laboratory environment. At least two years of similar experience is preferred but willing to train an entry level candidate. Responsible for the performance of routine field and laboratory tests related to soil mechanics, aggregates, asphalt concrete, concrete, shotcrete, masonry, steel, coatings analysis, roofing materials, and fireproofing products. A successful candidate must be able to properly follow directions, perform in a responsible manner with minimal oversight and foster professional relationships with customers, contractors and fellow employees.
Requirements
Certifications by Caltrans, NICET, ACI and ICC Soils Inspector
At least two years of practical hands on experience working in a geotechnical field or laboratory environment
Well versed in mathematical computations and consistently accurate in performing standard test procedures prescribed by ASTM, Caltrans and ICC
Excellent written and verbal communication and time management skills
Computer experience including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
Self-motivated and results driven. Consistently able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
