Project Description
Hayward Unified School District’s Measure I Bond was passed to provide funding for the construction, reconstruction, rehabilitating or replacement of deteriorating schools and facilities that were designed and approved by the DSA to improve safety and learning within the district’s schools. The schools that were selected as part of this bond measure program included East Ave Elementary, Fairview Elementary, Schafer Park Elementary, Tyrell Elementary and Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School. Other DSA projects outside of the Measure I program included construction, reconstruction or repair of Mt. Eden High School, Hayward High School and Harder Elementary School.
Services Provided
Signet provided special inspection and material testing services including soils/AC compaction, pile/pier observation, batch plant, DSA masonry, concrete, rebar, asphalt, steel/specialty testing, high-strength bolting, spray applied fireproofing and proof load/torque testing.
