Project Description
The rebuild of Kaiser Oakland Medical Center was a state-of-the-art, environmentally-friendly, energy-efficient medical complex. The new hospital consists of an 12 story structural steel frame building with 349 beds, 12 inpatient operating rooms, 8 labor and delivery rooms, an emergency department, and 100% single-occupancy rooms. The complex has a Specialty Medical Office building that consists of 4 floors, 99 provider offices, 6 outpatient operating rooms, 7 outpatient procedure rooms. Within the medical center grounds, there is a 1219-stall parking garage for the employees.
Services Provided
Signet provided special inspection and material testing services including soils compaction, soils/AGG/AC lab testing for on-site and offsite utility and site improvements, pile/pier installation and observation, bounded braced frame fabrication, and structural steel.
