Project Description
The San Francisco Proper Hotel (most recently known as the Renoir Hotel) is a 135-room landmark hotel, originally built in 1907. It is optimally situated in the Mid-Market neighborhood of San Francisco, California. The historic “flat-iron” building is undergoing an extensive renovation to restore the character of its “pure and elegant past” while offering the conveniences and amenities expected by travelers today.
When it opens, the building will showcase its historic lobby, three restaurants on the ground floor and an indoor/outdoor rooftop restaurant and bar that will feature breathtaking views of the city.
This project required the seismic strengthening of the existing structure. The guestrooms, lobby, lounge, retail shop, and multiple food and beverage concepts were also renovated. Below ground level, the hotel will provide a fitness center, restrooms, and 1,000 square feet of meeting space.
