Project Description
The Fifth Street Parking Garage provided much needed relief to the City and County of Napa’s employees, local businesses and visitors who frequent downtown Napa. The 485-space garage ended chronic parking problems south of Third Street, where people were often pushed to frequently move their cars throughout the day or spill over into adjacent neighborhoods to find parking.
The garage design-build project utilized cast-in-place concrete construction. The structural frame and foundation system consisted of concrete shear walls, reinforced concrete columns, post-tensioned beam and elevated slabs all transmitting vertical loads to individual spread and perimeter wall footings.
