Project Description
The Jack London Square Parking Structure G project incorporates glassy ground floor retail underneath six levels of parking and a covered steel and glass bridge within one full city block. The facility accommodates over 1,000 parking stalls and 31,000 square feet of prime retail space totally approximately 385,000 square feet. The bridge facilitates safe pedestrian access across an active shipping and commuter train line to a rapidly growing redevelopment center, within downtown Oakland. The structure was founded on soil mix columns and consisted of pre-cast columns, beams with cast in place shear walls and slabs.
Services Provided
Signet provided special inspection and materials testing services for this project including field compaction, soils observations and soils lab testing, reinforced concrete, anchors, pre-cast structural concrete beams, grades and columns, epoxy, masonry, shop and field welding, and high strength bolting.
