Project Description
The Stanford Hock Farm Parking Structure (originally known as Parking Structure #5) was constructed with a hybrid concrete moment frame design and construction process. This 5-story, 460,000-square-foot building was primarily constructed offsite with precast columns, beams and girders. The only onsite concrete above the building foundations was the post-tensioned concrete supported decks. This process included precast concrete spandrel beams that were cast at a separate Northern California precast yard.
Services Provided
Signet provided special inspection and materials testing of precast strand placement and stressing, precast concrete placement, post-tensioned strand placement and stressing, post-tension concrete placement, grout placement, structural masonry and structural welding.
