Project Description
SunPower’s Quinto project consists of a 135MW array in Gustine, CA, covering approximately 1,000 acres of land. The project, located within Merced County, was built using SunPower’s Oasis Power Plant system. The system consists of 1.5MW modular blocks installed by utilizing SunPower’s own high-efficiency modules, which reduces cost and optimizes land use.
According to an estimate provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the completed plant will offset the annual production of almost 134,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, which is the equivalent of removing more than 500,000 cars from California’s roads over a 20-year period.
Services Provided
MatriScope provided special inspections and materials testing services related to cast-in-place concrete, compaction testing, drilled pier and pile installation, masonry and structural steel welding.
