Project Description
The Woodland-Davis Water Treatment Facility was developed to largely replace deteriorating ground water supplies with safe. more reliable treated surface water supplies from the Sacramento River. The Cities of Davis and Woodland, through a joint-power authority, established the Woodland-Davis Clean Water Agency (WDCWA) to implement and oversee this regional surface water supply project.
The project included construction of a water collection pipeline from the river, water treatment plant and treated water pump stations, and distribution pipelines to each city.
Services Provided
This project was a UER team effort. Both MatriScope and Signet provided services to this project. Signet provided on-site materials testing and special inspection services including earthwork, asphalt concrete, rebar, concrete, shotcrete, masonry, non-strength grout, structural steel, high strength bolting, and UT/MT testing. MatriScope led the overall project delivery, offsite inspection of structural steel and related laboratory testing.
