Project Description
Township 9 is a planned mixed-use, transit-oriented development project located in Sacramento’s River District, bordering the American River. The new community will sit on 65 acres of in-fill land and include 2,350 residential units, 840, 00 sf of office space, 140,000 sf of retail space, and a new light rail station for the Regional Transit Green Line. Additional project work includes relocation and renovation of the existing Scale House, mass grading of the site, and improvements to surrounding streets, including Richards Boulevard and 7th Street. The project also involves construction of new streets, including Riverine Way, Cannery Avenue, Chill Avenue, Township 9 Avenue, and Vine Street. The project is expected to achieve Gold status for The USGBC’s LEED for Neighborhood Development program.

Services Provided
MatriScope provided services special inspections and materials testing services during construction of the new light rail station, renovation the scale house, mass grading, road improvement, and sitework. Services include trenchwork, slab-on-grade and precast concrete, site concrete, landscaping, grading, and underground and dry utilities.
